INGREDIENTS
Red onions, Yogurt, Greek yogurt, Sour cream, Greek-style Kefir, Mustard seeds.
RECIPE
- In a bowl, add 1/4 cup of yogurt + 1/2 cup of Greek yogurt + 1 tbsp of sour cream + 1/3 cup of kefir + salt to taste. Mix everything well and add a teeny amount of water if needed. Ensure a thick dropping consistency.
- Chop 1 big red onion into fine dice and add to the yogurt mix. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 2 hours.
- Heat 1/2 tsp of oil and add 2 tsp of mustard seeds (or more if you like the crunch of seeds in your raita). When they splutter, pour on top of the Pachdi/raita.
- Garnish with freshly chopped cilantro. Serve cold.
Serving: This is a great accompaniment to thengaa thogayal with rice or any pulao.
